Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a pressure on the median nerve in the wrist which can cause pain, tingling, weakness and numbness in the hands. To address this impingement of the nerve, corticosteroids can be injected to reduce inflammation and pain. In some cases, a surgical procedure is recommended under local anaesthesia, during which the ligament that presses on the median nerve is cut to relieve the pressure and alleviate any symptoms and discomfort arising from it.
