PRP Skin Rejuvenation

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an effective intervention which uses your own blood as a source for collecting platelets, a type of blood cell that play an important role in healing throughout the body, to be concentrated and re-injected back into the body. The blood must first be safely extracted from the body before it undergoes a process which concentrates the number of platelets in the plasma, thus improving its ability to heal and rejuvenate the skin bringing holistic benefits to overall wellbeing as well as achieving visible results. It is then injected into the targeted treatment area which leads to improved health and condition of the skin. The PRP can also aid with healing and recovery after injury by triggering the body's natural healing process, stimulating the cells to repair and renew through producing collagen and elastin. A certificate of the number of platelets is provided.

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a type of regenerative medicine treatment that uses the body's own blood to stimulate healing and rejuvenation. PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of blood from the patient, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and then injecting it back into the body at the site of treatment.

A small amount of blood, typically around 30-60 mL, is drawn from the patient's arm using a syringe, similar to a routine blood test.

The collected blood is then processed in a centrifuge machine to separate the components of blood, including the red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. The centrifugation process isolates the platelet-rich plasma, which contains a higher concentration of platelets and growth factors compared to regular blood.

The PRP is often activated by adding a small amount of calcium chloride or other activating agent, which helps to release the growth factors from the platelets and initiates the healing process.

The activated PRP is then carefully injected into the target area using a fine needle or cannula. The PRP can be injected into various areas of the body, such as the face, scalp, joints, or other areas where healing or rejuvenation is desired.

The growth factors and other bioactive substances in PRP stimulate the body's natural healing processes, promoting tissue regeneration, cell growth, and collagen production. This can result in various benefits, depending on the treatment area, such as improved skin texture and tone, reduced inflammation and pain, enhanced hair growth, or accelerated healing of injured tissues.
