About

Arm lift surgery, also known as brachioplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that aims to improve the contour and appearance of the upper arms by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying tissues.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The surgeon makes incisions in strategic locations on the upper arms, typically along the inner part of the arms or in the armpit area. The length and pattern of the incisions may vary depending on the extent of excess skin and fat to be removed and the desired outcome.

The surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms. The amount of tissue removed depends on the patient's anatomy and desired outcome. Liposuction may also be used in conjunction with arm lift surgery to further contour the arms.

After the excess skin and fat have been removed, the surgeon may tighten the underlying tissues, including the muscles and fascia, to improve the contour and tone of the arms. This step is optional and may not be performed in all cases.
