Dermapen
Dermapen® is an advanced microneedling technique that provides skin rejuvenation benefits in more targeted areas of the face. Designed to reduce the appearance of scarring and improve skin texture and tone, the Dermapen® device works by creating tiny punctures in the skin with micro needles, triggering the body's natural wound-healing response which stimulates the production of fresh collagen. The newly produced collagen provides structural support to the skin, smoothing the skin and revealing a brighter overall complexion and correcting targeted concerns such as scarring, pigmentation or other marks. The small channels also allow topical products and serums to penetrate more deeply into the skin. About
Dermapen is a medical-grade device that is used for a skin treatment procedure called microneedling or collagen induction therapy.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Dermapen is a handheld device that consists of a small, motorised pen-like device with a sterile disposable needle tip. The needle tip contains multiple tiny needles that can vary in length, typically ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters.
The Dermapen is used to create controlled micro-injuries or micro-channels in the skin's surface. The needles of the Dermapen penetrate the skin at a specific depth, depending on the treatment goals and the targeted skin concerns. The controlled micro-injuries trigger the skin's natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins that provide structure and elasticity to the skin.
The micro-injuries created by the Dermapen stimulate the body's healing process, leading to the formation of new collagen and elastin fibers in the treated area. The increased production of collagen and elastin helps to improve the texture, tone, and overall quality of the skin. Collagen induction is the main mechanism by which Dermapen promotes skin rejuvenation.
