Lower Eyelid Correction

Rejuvenate your lower eye lid area with a targeted procedure that smooths and reduces skin laxity and removes the fat bags for a more lifted, radiant gaze. Lower eyelid correction entails the surgical removal of excess fat pads and skin that causes lines, wrinkles and under eye bags that can result from genetics, tiredness and natural aging processes. The subtle yet effective result will leave you looking bright-eyed, well-rested and youthful.

About

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure that aims to improve the appearance and/or function of the eyelids. It can involve the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once the patient is adequately sedated, the surgeon adds local anaesthetic and makes carefully planned incisions in the natural creases of the eyelids to minimise scarring. The type and length of incisions may vary depending on the extent of the eyelid surgery and the specific needs of the patient.

The surgeon then removes excess skin, and removes or repositions the fat and / or muscle as needed to achieve the desired outcome. For upper eyelid surgery, excess skin and fat may be removed to correct droopy eyelids or improve the appearance of hooded eyelids. For lower eyelid surgery, excess skin, muscle, and/or fat may be removed or repositioned to address under-eye bags or puffiness.

Once the desired corrections have been made, the surgeon may use sutures, skin adhesives, or other methods to close the incisions. These closures are typically done with great care to ensure a natural-looking result and minimise scarring
