Lip Filler Dissolving Injections

Lip filler dissolving treatment, also known as filler or hyaluronic acid (HA) reversal, is a procedure designed to safely and effectively reverse the effects of dermal fillers that have been previously injected into the lips. Using advanced techniques in dermal filler reversal, we carefully administer hyaluronidase to break down and dissolve unwanted filler, restoring your lips to their natural shape.

About dissolving lip filler

Hyaluronidase is a naturally occurring enzyme in the human body that is used in medical treatments to break down hyaluronic acid, a key component of many dermal fillers. It is commonly employed in procedures to reverse the effects of dermal fillers, making it easier for the body to absorb and eliminate them. Hyaluronidase injections are administered by medical professionals to correct filler-related issues or to adjust the results of cosmetic procedures. This enzyme plays a vital role in enhancing treatment flexibility and safety in the field of aesthetic medicine.

HOW DOES DERMAL FILLER REVERSAL WORK?

The most common method for dissolving hyaluronic acid fillers is by using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase is naturally occurring in the body and helps break down hyaluronic acid, the primary ingredient in most dermal fillers.

In some cases, a local anaesthetic may be applied to minimise discomfort during the procedure.

The practitioner will inject hyaluronidase directly into the area where the filler needs to be dissolved. This enzyme works by breaking down the hyaluronic acid filler, allowing your body to naturally absorb and eliminate it.

After the injection, the practitioner will monitor your progress and may make additional adjustments if necessary. In some cases, more than one treatment session may be needed to achieve the desired results.
