Microneedling is a minimally-invasive procedure which takes advantage of the body's naturally effective healing response to improve the overall appearance of skin on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Small medical-grade needles are passed over (numbed) skin to create small micro channels intended to improve the complexion as well as correcting scarring, pigmentation and other marks on the skin.
The micro channels created by the needles are so small that they are virtually undetectable yet they act as a catalyst for the body's wound-healing process which stimulates the production of fresh collagen, a protein which provides structural support to the skin therefore visibly smoothing and toning the skin. The small channels also allow topical products and serums to penetrate more deeply into the skin. This is a suitable treatment for restoring an overall healthy appearance and vibrancy to skin with minimal downtime following the treatment.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin.
Microneedling can be performed using various devices, such as a derma roller or a motorised pen-like device. These devices contain multiple tiny needles that can range in length from 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters.
The microneedling device is gently rolled or stamped over the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries or micro-channels in the skin's surface. The needles penetrate the skin at a specific depth, depending on the treatment goals and the targeted skin concerns.
The controlled micro-injuries created by microneedling trigger the body's natural healing response. The skin perceives these micro-injuries as wounds and begins the healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins that provide structure and elasticity to the skin.
The increased production of collagen and elastin in response to microneedling helps to improve the texture, tone, and overall quality of the skin. Collagen induction is the main mechanism by which microneedling promotes skin rejuvenation.
