About
Thigh lift surgery, also known as thighplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that aims to improve the contour and appearance of the thighs by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying tissues. Thigh lift surgery can be performed on the inner thighs, outer thighs, or both, depending on the patient's specific concerns and desired outcome.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The surgeon makes incisions in strategic locations on the thighs, typically in natural folds or areas that can be concealed by underwear or swimwear. The length and pattern of the incisions may vary depending on the type of thigh lift being performed and the amount of excess tissue to be removed.
The surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the thighs. The amount of tissue removed depends on the patient's anatomy and desired outcome. Vaser liposuction may also be used in conjunction with thigh lift surgery to further contour the thighs.
After the excess tissue has been removed, the surgeon may tighten the underlying strutures, including the muscles and fascia, to improve the contour and tone of the thighs.
